The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline offers free confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress, 24/7.
First we’ll do an assessment to help find the treatment and support you need including any other Intermountain services that might support your recovery.
Our group sessions are based on the latest research. We use the Seeking Safety model and materials to treat trauma and addiction and experiential groups to help build creativity and emotional strength. We also encourage interaction with community support programs to connect with the global recovery community.
You can meet with a personal counselor or therapist to talk about things that you think are too personal for groups. It’s also a good way to go over your treatment progress and you own treatment goals.
Support from family and friends is very important to treatment outcomes. IH Addiction Medicine & Recovery (formerly Dayspring) offers family groups and urges close family members and friends to do it with you. These groups focus on the impact addiction has on your life. You, your family, and your friends will work on making life changes together to support you.
As with most treatment programs, we offer drug testing to help you track progress on your recovery journey.
In some cases, medication-assisted treatment is combined with counseling to help relieve your withdrawal symptoms and cravings. This kind of treatment is often used when treating addiction to substances like opioids, alcohol, or tobacco.
IH Addiction Medicine & Recovery in Logan (formerly Dayspring) offers an opioid treatment program. This is a special clinic that gives patients a controlled drug, like methadone, to wean them off opioids over time. If you’re getting treatment, you’ll visit the clinic daily and slowly move towards take-home dosing as you recover.
When you reach your treatment goals, you’re encouraged to go to continuing care groups, often referred to as aftercare, for ongoing help. These groups are open to all IH Addiction Medicine & Recovery (formerly Dayspring) patients, and you can go for as long as you like.

Benzodiazepine medications include: Alprazolam (Xanax), Lorazepam (Ativan), Diazepam (Valium), and Clonazepam (Klonopin).
Our Benzodiazepine Taper Support Group (BTSG), at Intermountain Avenues Psychiatry and Counseling, meets weekly with people interested in this treatment goal.
